Tartu 2024 suvepidu / Summer Celebration

The heart of European Capital of Culture beats in summer rhythms. The streets are filled with life and energy, and love is in the air. Let’s celebrate summer together on a warm August night with a concert performance and some wild music.

 

The "Arts of Survival at the Crossroads" concert performance features surprising combinations of beloved Estonian musicians, singers, and actors. We’ll tell the story of a journey full of choices, through which Tartu has become the European Capital of Culture.

 

A lineup of stars will take the stage that night: Liisi Koikson • Nele-Liis Vaiksoo • Märt Avandi • Ott Sepp • Ollie • Heidy Tamme • Peeter Volkonski • Sissi • Tartu Academic Male Choir • Shat​​é Dance School • Janika Gymnastics Club • Leigarid Tartu Group • Tähtvere Dance Centre dancers and many more.

 

On 3 August, Tartu 2024 Summer Celebration kicks off at 10 PM with the concert performance "The Arts of Survival at the Crossroads" by Tanel Jonas and Laura Võigemast, the Musical Director is Siim Aimla and Movement Director is Rauno Zubko.

 

The celebration continues with a concert by Winny Puhh, the wildest band in Southern Estonia, promising plenty of surprises. The band celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
