The first concert of the charismatic Halestorm in Estonia

On June 18, the American heavy rock band Halestorm will perform at club Helitehas. Although famous for their intensive concert activity (up to 250 performances per year), the group had not yet visited our country.

Tickets for the subscribers of Piletilevi newsletter “Piletipost” will be available from November 6 at 10.00 AM. General sale in the entire Piletilevi network starts from November 8 at 10.00 AM.

Founded in 1997 in the US state of Pennsylvania, the group has released 5 studio albums (currently working on the sixth), received a Grammy award for the single Love Bites (So Do I), collaborated with a number of other famous musicians and, as already mentioned, given thousands of concerts in many parts of the world.

It is expected that the Tallinn set will be made up of the band's "golden bests": Love Bites (So Do I), I Get Off, Familiar Taste of Poison, Freak Like Me, I Am the Fire, Mz. Hyde, I Miss The Misery, The Steeple, Back From the Dead, as well as brand new material.

Siblings - lead songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Lzzy Hale and drummer Arejay Hale - formed Halestorm when they were still teenagers. Lzzy had started learning the piano since the age of 5, later switching to the guitar while Arejay learned to play the drums. When Lzzy was only 13 and Arejay was 10 years old, they started writing original music and performing. Their strong support was their father Roger, who initially even played bass parts in the band. Currently, in addition to the Hales, guitarist Joe Hottinger and bassist Josh Smith also play in the band.

In 2005, the dedication and perseverance led the youngsters to a contract with the Atlantic Records. In 2006, a live EP "One and Done" was released, followed by the debut self-titled LP in 2009. The turning point was the success of the song Love Bites (So Do I) included in the second album "The Strange Case Of...", receiving the Grammy award for the  Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance Category in 2013. Notably, Halestorm is the first female-fronted band to both be nominated and win in this category.

In 2013, with the piece Freak Like Me, they managed to reach the very top of the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks. Two years later, Halestorm's third studio album "Into the Wild Life" (2015) reached number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart, and the group celebrated its 2,000th concert. In 2018, the group received a new Grammy nomination, this time for the song Uncomfortable in the category of the Best Rock Performance.

The above only confirms that it is the performance, the live connection with the audience, that is the main key to the band's success and a strong incentive to continue the career. Therefore, the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, when not only concerts, but even meetings between members were prohibited for periods, became a real test of relationships and mental health.
Commenting on the message of the album made during the pandemic and released in 2022, Lzzy emphasizes: ““Back From The Dead” isn’t just about the industry; it’s about everything, whether you’re battling mental health issues or getting over a relationship or out of something that wasn’t great for you — we’re all here now, ready to put our horns in the sky and say we survived it.”.

Due to her powerful vocals and charismatic personality, a number of other artists and bands are eager to collaborate with Lzzy Hale. Let's just mention the well-known cellists Apocalyptica (Talk To Me), the Mongolian hard rock phenomenon The Hu (Song of Women), Evanescence (Use My Voice), GWAR (The Cutter), Dream Theater (Our New World) and a number of others. In the summer of 2024, Lzzy was invited to fill in as the lead vocalist for Skid Row for the their US tour. About the same time Halestorm and I Prevail released their collaboration Can U See Me in the Dark?

At the end of August 2024, in an interview with the Louisville radio station PK the Halestorm's musicians reveal that, despite an intense concert schedule, about 70-80% of the material for the sixth studio album has already been recorded. Accordingly, it is quite safe to expect fresh material at the Tallinn concert.
