The Hoffmann Ball at the Opera is a unique New Year's gala concert of operas and ballets inspired by the fairy tales of the great German romantic. The mysterious Coppelia and the wizard Drosselmeyer, the mechanical doll Olympia and Doctor Miracle - they all come to life on stage to the music of Offenbach, Delibes and Tchaikovsky. During the New Year, the soul longs for a fairy tale! And when this fairy tale takes place on the opera stage, performed by the soloists from the leading European theaters and a symphonic orchestra, it is a real event for audiences of all ages. Extend your New Year's mood, discover new sounds and enjoy familiar melodies!

Among the stars of the ball is maestro Hannah von Wiehler, one of the most brilliant conductors of her generation, doctor of the University of Oxford, founder of the VOX Orchestra in the UK and conductor of the Bordeaux National Opera. Hannah's career is developing rapidly, in May 2024 she made her debut on the most prestigious stage in the USA - Carnegie Hall.

The role of the primadonna is played by the Italian Francesca Pia Vitale, who in 2022, according to the Opera Wire website, entered the top 10 of the world's rising opera stars. She graduated from Milan's Accademia del Teatro alla Scala and is a laureate of the NEUE STIMMEN I prize and the Audience prize of one of Europe's main opera competitions.

Together with Francesca, soloists from France and Great Britain will take the stage of National Opera, and in addition to Hoffmann they will also perform the music of his most beloved composer, Mozart, and brilliant melodies from Johann Strauss's operetta " Die Fledermaus", whose 200th anniversary will be the main event of the 2025 musical year.
