TMW 2025: UNESCO muusikalinnade helid / Sounds of the Cities
TMW 2025 festival will for the first time feature a UNESCO Cities of Music night, bringing together outstanding artists from UNESCO designated music cities around the world for one evening. Various performers will present unique projects that reflect the heritage, new trends and cultural identities of their hometowns.
The Sound of the Cities line-up presents both established and emerging acts from a wide range of styles—from jazz and folk to various shades of electronic and experimental music. The night is dedicated to strengthening intercity cooperation, fostering connections within the international music community, and, above all, celebrating music that unites and inspires. The stage thus reflects how cities can serve as focal points for the symbiosis of creativity and collaboration through music.
Bearing the title of the City of Music of the UNESCO since 2022, Tallinn is known for its vibrant music culture and innovative creative industries. The City of Music status opens up new opportunities for international collaborations and wider exposure for our musicians and industry.

Tallinn Music Week 2025 takes place on 3 - 6 April. Held since 2009, TMW fills Estonia’s capital Tallinn with tomorrow’s music, arts and ideas. An international line-up of artists will unfold across Tallinn’s best venues. In addition to the music festival, the programme includes a two-day music industry Conference, public talks, day trips, and free city stage concerts.
