A Joyous New Year's Celebration: Schönbrunn Palace's Beloved Orchestra Returns to Estonia Next Year
The captivating melodies of Vienna's most accomplished musicians and vocal soloists will once again grace Estonian audiences next year, as the renowned Vienna Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra embarks on a tour dedicated to Johann Strauss in January 2025. The Estonian performance is scheduled for January 14, 2025, at the Alexela Concert Hall in Tallinn.
The Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra has been a long-standing tradition in Estonia, with 2025 marking their seventh visit. Their previous performances in Estonia have garnered tremendous acclaim, resulting in sold-out concerts and standing ovations.
At next year's performance, the Estonian audience will have the privilege of immersing themselves in the timeless music of Johann Strauss II, under the guidance of a talented conductor. This tour in 2025 is dedicated to celebrating the composer's 200th birthday. Strauss, affectionately known as the Waltz King, composed over 500 waltzes, polkas, quadrilles, as well as several operas and operettas during his illustrious career. Born on October 25, 1825, Strauss left an indelible mark on the world, and in appreciation, his music has graced every New Year's concert for over a century.
Established in 1997, the Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra is a prestigious Viennese chamber music ensemble comprising exceptionally gifted musicians drawn from various renowned orchestras in Vienna. Their daily concerts in the Orange Hall of Schönbrunn Palace attract tourists from around the globe and have earned them international acclaim.
