Jean-Michel Jarre returns to Estonia – June 17 at Unibet Arena
Electronic music pioneer and visionary Jean-Michel Jarre will take the stage at Unibet Arena on June 17, bringing back to Estonia an unforgettable concert enriched with a spectacular light and laser show. Jarre last delighted the Estonian audience nearly 10 years ago, when his sold-out show confirmed the local audience’s great enthusiasm for his unique electronic music experience. As this is the only show in the Baltics, the concert is expected to attract many music lovers from other countries. Public ticket sales begin on February 28 at 10:00 AM simultaneously in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Jarre is a true futurist and innovator, who throughout his impressive career has captivated audiences with extraordinary sound technology, visual effects and multimedia performances. He has released 22 studio albums, selling more than 85 million copies worldwide. As a UNESCO ambassador for education, science and culture, he has received widespread recognition for his environmentally conscious and socially responsible concert projects. He has also set Guinness World Records for his performances, having played for 1 million people at Place de la Concorde in Paris, 1.3 million in Houston, 2.5 million at La Défense and 3.5 million in Moscow.
He was also the first Western artist to perform in China in 1981. Additionally, Jarre has taken his music to the foot of the Egyptian pyramids, the Sahara Desert, the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, in front of the Eiffel Tower, at the Dead Sea, in Al-Ula and many other UNESCO World Heritage sites.
In addition to traditional arenas and open-air concerts, Jarre remains at the forefront of cutting-edge technological innovations. He has experimented with immersive audio experiences, collaborated with VR environments and metaverses, and delivered an extraordinary virtual concert, Welcome To The Other Side , on New Year's Eve 2021 in a digital version of Notre-Dame Cathedral, attracting an estimated 75 million viewers. In 2022, he followed up with 3D spatial audio concerts for the presentation of his album OXYMORE, which was specifically recorded and mixed for 360° immersive sound. Jarre has repeatedly emphasized that modern technology offers composers and audiences more exciting possibilities than ever before.
The Tallinn concert will feature Jarre’s signature innovative stage production, blending atmospheric electronic music, a laser show, visual effects and unique instruments.
